Stefano Garzaro
Former school publishing professional, essayist and storyteller.

Born in 1956 in Turin, for forty years he worked in the publishing field, mainly in school publishing. Today he dedicates himself to fiction and historical research. In 2016, "La Borgata Lesna. Life in a city town" was staged, involving the population. He has been a contributor to the magazine "Torino Storia" since its founding. He has written the novel "Ventinove sottozero", set between Turin in the 1960s and the Soviet Union, and "Funky Monkey", which tells of the tensions of the younger generation. In 2020, two history books for young people appeared, "Geppe il brigante" (Einaudi ragazzi) and the stories of "O bella ciao" (with Lucia Vaccarino, Piemme). In 2021 the dystopian novel "Il paese nero" (Piemme) was released, an investigation into the roots of dictatorship, while in May 2023 he published a passionate conversation with Luigi Ciotti, "You are needed to build a more beautiful and just world" (Piemme). In 2024 "Per la libertà . Telling the Resistance today" (Piemme) appeared, a journey into a not-too-distant time, and "Raffaello e la banda del mulino" (EmonsRaga), a historical-artistic investigation projected into the Renaissance.
