Pierino Crema

Socio-welfare educator and former CGIL union leader.

Born in Musano (TV) in 1954, graduated (classical and teaching high school), immigrated to Turin in September 1974. He immediately dealt with people in difficulty, working over the years with the Ferrante Aporti juvenile prison and residential facilities for minors and disabled people. Animator in the cooperative "La Svolta" from its birth and until 1981 simultaneously volunteering for over 2 years in a Housing Community for Minors of the Frassati Cooperative. All activities took place in the Cenisia-Cit Turin and San Paolo neighborhoods. Engaged in Spontaneous Neighborhood Committees (1975-1980); in 1980 elected for the PCI in the Council of the 5th District. President of the ARCI Club in Borgo Campidoglio in the 1980s, promoter of the birth of the current "Polisportiva Esedra Cit Turin Luciano Domenico". Since 1981 employee of the Municipality of Turin as a socio-welfare educator. Since 1989 on union leave and in 1994 elected General Secretary of CGIL FP; in 2005 in the Secretariat of the Turin Chamber of Labor dealing with Healthcare and then moving to Organization until 2014, when he became Head of CGIL Services and Administrator and President of the CGIL Tax Company (Attiva Servizi CGIL), a role he held until 2018.
