Mariella Fassino
Dermatologist and professor of psychosomatic dermatology.
Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin, specialized in Dermatology and Venereology at the same University. She worked mainly in Territorial Medicine as an Outpatient Specialist in Turin. Dermatology and the strong implications in the mind-body relationship that skin pathologies recall led her to study and deepen, from a psychodynamic perspective, the themes of the psyche, the unconscious and consciousness in relation to the biology of human beings. For the reasons mentioned above, she is a contract professor at the School of Specialty in Clinical Psychology at the University of Turin where she teaches psychosomatic dermatology. Her extra-professional interests cultivated in her free time range from literature to cinema to figurative art to scientific outreach to the environment.
