Marco Bandioli

Navy Admiral and expert in security and naval warfare.

Admiral of the Italian Navy. He was born in Turin and his training began at the Naval Military School, formerly Naval College, "F. Morosini" in Venice and then at the Naval Academy of Livorno. At the end of the Academy, he acquired the role of Staff Officer specialized in Combat Operations. He graduated in "Maritime and Naval Sciences" at the University of Pisa and in "Political Science" at the University of Trieste. He has had long periods of embarkation, even in distant seas, on different naval units involved in operational missions of various connotations (naval, amphibious, anti-terrorism and maritime security), missions carried out in both national and multinational and NATO contexts. Due to the solid operational experience gained, he was at the time also employed in an Inter-service context, at the Defense General Staff and at the reduced staff under the direct control of the Minister of Defense. In the context of institutional activities he published "Amphibious Warfare" (official study text at the Naval Academy), while both in institutional journals and in specific sector magazines, numerous articles have been published mainly concerning amphibious warfare, maritime security doctrines and tactics, anti-terrorism in the maritime military field, the defense and security of critical installations as well as the use of martial arts in the military field.
