Beppe Borgogno
Political leader, journalist and former councilor of Turin.

He was born in Turin in 1958. He was a leader of the Turin federation of the PCI first, and then of the PDS and the Left Democrats, dealing in particular with press, communication and information issues. His long administrative experience began in 1985, as councilor of District 5 of Turin (Borgo Vittoria, Madonna di Campagna, Vallette), where he was group leader of the PCI first and then of the PDS. In 1997 he was elected city councilor of Turin, and for seven years he was the group leader of the PDS and then of the Left Democrats. In Turin he was then Councilor for Personnel, Organization and Security and, later, for Educational Resources, in Mayor Chiamparino's Council. From 2011 to 2016, finally, he was the coordinator of Mayor Fassino's staff. He joined the Democratic Party at its founding, until 2013. Until 2020 he worked at the Piedmont Region, first in the Institutional Communication Office of the Regional Council, and in recent years at the Office of the Presidency of the Council. Registered with the Order of Journalists until 2023, over the years he has carried out extensive publishing activity, particularly in publications linked to the PCI, and then to the PDS and the Left Democrats. In 2010 he received from the President of the Republic the title of Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic for merits achieved as Councilor for the Municipal Police of Turin, for urban security policies implemented in those years.
